4 ideas for final projects (sorry-cant' decide)
1. (Topic-graphic designers bring things to life)
How is it in this day and age and with such an advance in technology we still have manequinns in shop windows? Graphic designers are all about bringing things to life and having their work noticed and understood. My idea is to contact famous shops, such as Harrods and Harvey Nicholls to ask if I could live in their shop window or to be a live manequinn.I will exhibit this at our show by video/photography or hopefully if i managed to get publicity, by print.
2. (Topic - How far a designer will go to get noticed) MY idea for this is to get as famous as possible in 12 weeks. I will start off by contacting television channels and if I have got nowhere as the weeks go on who knows what I will have to do. Maybe stick a photo of myself on a billboard? Wander down to Eastenders set/ get my family on Jeremy Kyle show.
3. (Topic - from something small, something big can happen)
Writing the beginning of a story and send it by email to see how far it will go round the world with people adding to it- a story that has been written by people all over the world. Similar idea is to start a drawing people can add to. Maybe a piece of work contributed to by all level 3 students to represent Chelsea and be left as a legacy to Chelsea when we all leave.
4. (Topic- How far can blagging get you) WE all know girls have the advantage of getting away with things a lot more than men. A batter of the eyelids, a dropping of the pencil- I wonder how far this could be taken. With only my car and £50 I will see how far I can get around the world in 12 weeks using blagging as my only tool. I may have to discuss this one with my parents!!!! Not sure how I could exhibit this.
Be really grateful for some feedback asap as I am going off in too many directions at the moment and need to be reigned back in

BECOME A MANEQUIN EXCELLENT BUT THINK YOU SHOULD TRY AND DO IT WITHOUT PERMISSION!ILLEGALLY AND SEE HOW ANNOYED THEY GET OR DESIGN ONE THAT MOVES AND GRABS PEOPLE ESP. THIEVES!LIKE THOSE STATUES IN COVENT GARDEN!!!!!
When I receive 4 projects I get worried by your basic indecision, howver I am really intrigued by the second option of how famous/infamous you could become in 12 weeks- by exploring and exhausting the potential of print and media. Key is- are you guttsy
enough to do this to the ultimate (within the law of course) and how to record the eveidence as a cool piece of graphics communication in its own right)?

OPTION 2, OPTION2!!!! With guerilla advertisement you can get famous in no time! jus a lot of stickers, a lot of wheatpaste, a lot of sleepless nights, and a lot of ur boldness and intellect...yeah u can b as big as the queen in no time!! u got a car too rite!!?! U jus gotta work out wat exactly u want to publicise about yourself... i mean...for example an american designer called kaws went around replacing faces on billboards with his own. From what i understand there isnt really a law against defacing/ graffiti on advertisements. There's loads of cases of people becoming famous because of their posters, u just need to find a fresh angle

Definitely 'get famous in 12 weeks'! You could start by posting your autographed pics on ebay-'signed photos of Michelle Grifiths' and then direct people to your website. Then drive around London with a loudspeaker promoting yourself (like the m.p's do at election time). I'm wondering if you could get yourself onto the telly? You could lie shamelessly and get yourself onto one of those 'Trisha' type shows. Course you could always do a lady Godiva on a white horse outside parliment square, you'd be famous in no time!

the famous in 12 weeks works for me. maybe make some t-shirts like the 'vote for pedro' ones and distribute them.
you could measure how well it works by how many people recognise you if they come to the show - maybe it means you have a selective / designer audience...

Thank you guys for your comments and help! I went to House of Fraser today and they have given me the whole of downstairs to decorate the walls with whatever I want-even pics of me or just my website address or something! They said doesn't matter what I put up even if its not advertising the shop. I am allowed to use their clothes and stuff too as long as nothing gets damaged. So how cool is that?! Might just use that as one of my pitches for getting famous. Also getting in touch with Selfridges regarding their window displays as they are well up for weird student stuff!
Those who have helped get a free autograph! Only joking!
Cool, making progess...if you are going to get famous in 12 weeks you need to find ways of charting progress- this will be as valuable as demonstarting your actual fame at the end of the process!

Well I don't want to a diary with pictures in showing my progress because that is pretty dull. I will think more about this. Any ideas anyone feel free x
This is the space House of Fraser, Oxford Street have given me. It includes the back wall, around the entrance and the booth. Also runs down a corrider to the left.
ok I have had to put the pic on a new post!
