Aimee Gillett: sentimental icons meets urban

In contrast to the notion of the English having a "stiff upper lip" my project will recontextualise everyday icons to reflect contemporary culture playing on the idea of taboo subjects. These could include: Stamps, crockery, phallic hedges.

Aimmee...I 'm sure that this project makes sense to you but the description you offer is not clear. You generalise the genre of iconography and appear to rush into corny pictograms...what for example is 'a phalic hedge'.
Can you clarify, as it stands the project has not purpose other than to cause some vague amusement.
