Ok for some time now I have had this "MakeController" thing on my desk staring at me, and me staring right back!
It is a device that enables connection of analog sensors to detect stuff like heat, light, distance. It can also be used with real switches, push buttons, sliders and bending strips. It's made by a company called MakingThings and it can interface with tools like Processing, Max/Msp and Flash. I wanted to play with this thing for a while now so this is a good chance to jump in, head first. This was also the tech stuff I had in mind for a real make of my Rain is Number project.
The theme here is analog physical interaction with a graphic digital interface.
My goal is to make a installation piece using a projector, the MakeController kit and Flash.
Ideas don't come out of no where for me. I need to test and do some R/D on all this to see the light, but generating graphics from a live source is where I am heading with this.

Your project description whist vague denotes something that is definately in your zone and I would encourage. I also think that technology, sensory and graphic interface experimentation is a great angle...so go with it!
Outcomes for your show could work at a variety of levels of sophistication- from ambient to more complex and informative, (so long as you maintain the need for show appeal- this should be good).

Definitely think this is a great idea, if you could progress on the digital rain idea that would be ingenious. possibly u could create an interacctive interface which fits within the title 'brighter'.. i dunno but as per usual ur on something!!
Your blog entry offers the basis ofa great project. If this message reaches you in time, can you add a coupel of bullet points to define what you aim to do....including the notion of producing a 'digital sketchbook' that we talked about, and you seemed excited by.
CAN YOU ALSO bring in other project work to show, as I requested,

Digital Sketchbook
Utilizing analog sensors and Make Controller Kit, I wish to explore and test ideas for live physical interaction with graphic digital interfaces.
Looking at 3 types of input devices:
Light sensor (photocell)
Proximity sensor (IR)
Temperature sensor
The "Digital sketchbook" will be incomplete in a good sense, it should illustrate ideas and working experiments that will inspire to new and bigger projects based on this research and development.
The project will be documented as a online log/project page, using simple text, images and video.
Final goal is to show some of this live.
