David Roberts: Faking it

Today's society is increasingly being blighted by accusations of being 'dumbed down', and with the media appealing to our most immature needs it is no wonder that even such things as exams are being accused of having dumbed down to meet the ability of today's students.

My project aims to help people fake intelligence in today's 'dumbed down' society.

One possible outcome would be to gatecrash other courses or colleges in order to fake an academic lifestyle or another outcome would be to find methods of concealing popular culture by using the front of high society.

i'm sure u know of the channel 4 programme 'faking it'? i believe its quite simmilar to your aim or is there a twist in yours? on the show they will have eg. a cleaner who tries to pass as a lap dancer to fool 3 judges...

Of course I am fully aware of the channel 4 programme and though both projects share the same name, I'm in no way trying to emulate it's format. I'm seeking to find solutions to mask society's 'dumbed down' status with a shroud of intelligence. I'm still considering my outcome but it will a bit tongue-in-cheek and will be aimed at a mass of people rather than an individuals TV makeover. David.

Not your fault...but I'm reading your propoasal at the end of a long list of hyper-intellectualised, psycho- social, uber-angst ridden personal issues.
Just love to see a good old fashioned simple grpahics project.
Dont fake it do something real...even fun, entertaining and with joy?
