'Chelle' hosts charity event back in her local home town

If I am going to be famous I must do my bit for charity.
Running alongside my FMP is a ;James Bond' charity event I am organising for my local pub. An idea of mine is to use this as one of my methods of getting my name noticed. This will be done through all advertising by announcing the event is 'hosted by Chelle'. This will be seen on all posters, leaflets, newspapers, radio. People will think- Chelle? Who is that... Then they will see my website address and hopefully log on hence more publicity for me. For this event I worked with the manager to organise:
- an Aston Martin, a Rolls Royce and a Z4 to be outside the front
- celebrity guests, 'Jaws' from the actual film James Bond will be there along with 'Odd-Job' who stars in it too.
- photographers
- radio advertising
- local newspaper advertising

We have also organised a Charity Auction, prizes consist of
- P&O Cruise
- dinner for 2 at The Langham, London
- Adnams brewery tour and dinner
- golfing for 18 people
- beauty treatments
- a Z4 for the weekend test drive
- signed football shirts
- signed James Bond posters

Lots more to come!

Hopefully this will also demonstrate in my portfolio my skill for PR work which I am hoping to move into in the future. I have already designed all the graphics for this event and so the pub are willing to help my name become known by radio / media work that will be involved.
I will have photographs from the event to record the outcome. If you feel this does not relate to my FMP in anyway then let me know

Thank you Rachel, I wanted to incorporate it into my project somehow as like I said it demonstrates more PR work.

It definately does demonstrate great PR skills! Have you thought anymore about how you're going to present all your success in the show?

Not really no. I am struggling with this. Any ideas? Who posted last comment btw? Not liking this anonymous stuff, it scares me!

:) sorry that was me again (rachel) its quite a tricky one because the idea is so big and you will have so many things to incorporate. i was thinking about how you would measure success? how do you know when you've made it? I guess the obvious things are magazine spreads, film?

or how about a hollywood style walk of fame thing-you know the handprint in concrete? Or have a live portfolio signing?

How on earth did you get all those great prizes? Don't forget to put my name (no one elses!) in the hat for the cruise!!
Well done hun!

Amazing how you've done all this in such a short space of time! Reminds me of a challenge from The Apprentice last year where two teams had to each organise a party...one of them was called 'Double O Heaven' and had similar themes and prizes (it ended up the winner!) A live signing at the degree show would be wicked...you may genuinely BE famous by then so maybe you'd even attract some press!
