Mary's FMP update

For the past couple of weeks I have been creating designs for Paul's Boutique brand, which Paul loved and he purely wants me to concentrate on that with the idea of the best designs going on to the clothes to be sold in Topshop & Selfridges. This turns my project around a little, as initially I was planning to create graphics for posters/leaflets/website in order to increase customers' awareness of the brand. I suppose I can still do a part of that further on in the project. I've had lots of fun creating designs similar to this one and am very excited about the project's change. Do you guys think thats ok for the project? Comments very appreciated.

Setting up my own blog soon, have not had much time. I have actually went to see Paul at his studio today in South Harrow where all the customizing takes place and all the bits and pieces are put together before they go off to the shops. (All these clothes and bags were lying around... it was heavenly) We discussed my designs and he is giving me plenty of creative freedom, together with his ideas & criticism and feedback. I have been asked to come back tomorrow to do my design work there in the studio.

Anyway, hope everyone's well x

Mary this is fantastic!!!!!!!
So your work will be on clothes in Topshop????
I am so pleased for you, of course that project is still ok. It's a live brief still for design.
That is fab! You know what would be even better if you are stuck for ideas...an outline of me for one of your designs! I can see it now...'Chelle as a T shirt print!'
Well done anyway babe x

I share your colleagues enthusiasm, the project is going really well and is an excellent showcase for your skills and future aspirations. I would'nt be too concerned that the focus of the original brief may have changed, its all part of the angst and the fun! Most importantly the fact that you have formed a close relationship with the client is terrific and also that you get to work in their environment. Hope you are recording this, it is good primary resaerch evidence.

Hey Mary, I was in Topshop today asking to have my postcards handed out and trying really hard to look down at all times so I wasn't tempted to buy stuff and this gorgeous bag caught my eye.....looked at closer and it was by Paul's Boutique. Their stuff is wicked. I had to drag myself out of there quickly!
If you do need an outline drawing of a girl don't forget my offer! Don't worry if not, good luck with it all
