I am researching all aspects of youth culture in Russia at the moment; I am looking at youth TV, fashion, music etc. My intend is to demonstrate modern life in Russia, and give a clear idea of what is popular, what is on now. Probably everything that I am researching now is influenced by other cultures, but has an input from our own culture as well, I find a lot of similarities between Russian and English young people styles of life.
What I have shown before is just a part of my research, where I looked at Youth TV in Russia. Each of them has or had a major number of viewers from young audience, and are the most popular shows on TV for my generation. They are Russian versions of such TV programs as ‘Big Brother’, ‘X Factor’, ‘Pop Idol’etc.
… I just thought it would be interesting for you guys to see what we have here in Russia.

I like the idea of educating other people about Russian culture, though it does seem that if people want to find out about somewhere/thing they will do so themselves quite easily and with things like myspace info nation wide is easily accessed. Does this idea open an avenue to other fields you might be intersted in? could you make this a live brief to promote something you feel is worthy of doing so in russia? Only saying so as at the mo it seems you need to narrow your idea down a little.
I'm with mystery shopper above, the theme sounds very good for you - and I would certainly be interested in how Russian youth culture mirrors that of the English - but I think you should be starting to decide what it actually is! What will your research amount to in the end and will it fully engage us?
Karina...you are still discussing 'research', this period should now be complete and you should be producing design work. We will not be dwelling too much on research next week but looking at the development of design outcomes. You have still not stated what you are producing!

I 'm working on it now, sorry I didn’t respond before. I have decided to create an interactive journal, where I can design my own layout page and have all needed information about Russian youth culture, so people will be able not only see what we have here but communicate with each other and have discussions about what they find interesting. I will post design work later on. Thanks!
