Religious ID

Above: Jesus fancy dress costume on sale near Vatican
I kept this article for a while now, made me laugh because ironically it reminded me how bizarre religious identity has become. No hijab, no crucifix, no kirpans...an issue which has affected me directly. No win situation - Is religious identity on the verge of extinction?! Looks like we’re only going to be seeing Jesus on Halloween...! Ravi

I think this is a very current topic. I suppose with the lady who went to court over the right to wear a crucifix to work and the muslim lady who was scrutinised over the right to wear a hijab to teach, one could argue that religion is more alive than ever before. What do you propose to do with this topic?

I'm not thinking about what direction to go in at this stage, I just want thoughts on the topic. The irony about religion whether you're a holy believer or an athiest p*sstaker you're bound to get ''offended'' somehow, nowadays more than ever; but the whole purpose of religion is to bring peace! I've always found it to be an amusing subject to say the least. Rav

The topic of religion will certainly be controversial, no matter what you do. Just be sensible and non-offensive..I know what your like Ravi!

Me controversial? Never! No your're missing my point, I don't want to mock religion because I'm a strong beleiver myself. It's others who make it controversial. Can I ask who you are btw...?

Ravi...whats happening, the external is in on thursday and you should have been there all flags flying- howver this project is trite, thin and wrong on so many levels. You surely have the ghist of an appropraite project from those approved to date?
Turn this around- I fully anticipated that your final project would be your ultimate best.

Michelle - Have you got Harrods confirmed yet? Push that as much as you can, thats the major player, I reckon, in initiating your claim to fame. P.S. This topic is dead- as strongly as I feel about the situation it's too heavy and like Geoff and Mel suggested is likened to be misinterpretated as wrong whatever I do with it.

We have to confront the issue that at this point I am finding your final project proposal, lightweight, inconsequantial and question whether it fulfils those assessment criteria that will present you with a result that will truly reflect your talents.
Please attend a meeting on Wed next, 7 March at 1.30.
