another idea! - Stephanie

Sometimes road signs can be tricky. U're in the car, faced with a road sign and you have no clue what it means. Some are over-complicated, unclear, you can't even guess because you might end up in an accident, more or less violent.

I want to re-make the road signs, but easier to understand. Signs that you won't need to study beforehand to know what it actually means, you just see it and get it.

Hey, our current road sign system has successfully been in effect for decades, (and has evolved from centuries of transport signage dating back to when the Romans first laid out their roads) and so I don’t think there is much need to re-design them and more importantly there is no solid evidence that they need to be re-designed. If drivers find them confusing then God knows how they managed to pass their Driver Theory test! Also I think road signs -as pretty as they are- have unfortunately been rinsed out in the design world - Would you agree? Sorry to sound so negative!!! Ravi

i do agree with Ravi. Don't spend 12 weeks re-designing a red circle with a white line in the middle. it's just a no go area (no entry)

signs are an area that people work on for years, its more of a science really.
a more 'graphic' & contemporary route would be icons. BT have a load of new ones which look pretty slick so check them out.

It would be more than foolish to even attempt to re-design an absolute design classic...besides which, in reality this would be a 10 year project (minimum)!
A re-think required.
