green screen!

ok. everything ALMOST ready! I am shooting the green screen this Saturday @ college from 10 to 3pm!
if anyone want to drop by, it will be great! help is always welcome!

lightning from Alex (photography) - i have to get that Friday because he wont be in on sat.
camera - not yet confirmed I can get the college one, but I have a back up plan, a professional place in Soho that rents them, so if something goes wrong with the college one, I can get it in Soho on Friday.
green screen - I'm buying it from a place Alex told me, getting it Friday as well

not yet confirmed:
the room .... I still need to get a response from Alan Graham to confirm exactly what room in college I can use, but since its going to be on a Saturday I am pretty confident I won't have a problem!

A little help needed...

Photos from my four location shoots are now on my blog and I have room for only one of each in the look-book. I have my ideas on which to use but would very much appreciate the opinions of you crazy visual cats. Files going to printer for my proof copy on Monday!

Hey everyone, just to say if you can, keep an eye out on Sunday for me on Sky Sports as I am playing for Celebrity Soccer 6. It takes place at West Ham and it will be full of celebs such as Rod Stewart, Robbie Williams(maybe), Ant and Dec, Sugababes etc etc. I get my own kit with 'chelle' on the back and everything! Also getting an article in Cosmogirl and I am in Ok magazine in 2 weeks however, any ideas you think I should try and pull off for my last week let me know and visit my blog if you can as I have done lots more I haven't been able to tell you about x

KANIKA'S NEW SHOOT!!!!

After some consideration I decided to change my photshoot and done them in a studio, making them look a bit more glamorous. I aksed my designer to produce some more dresses that she had already sketched out, I chose the fabric and she made them so that they fit me!!
The photoshoot was exciting and although the photographer was a bit over excited!thanks to my little assistant IVY AMOAH!!!more pics on my blog if you wana check out!

PHOTO SHOOT // TUES 15TH PM & WED 16TH AM

HI EVERYONE - AS YOU CAN SEE WE'VE BEEN VERY BUSY ORGANISNG THE PHOTOSHOOT, BORROWING LOVELY CLOTHES FOR EVERYONE TO WEAR FROM AMERICAN APPAREL AND DOING THIS TEST SHOOT THIS MORNING.

This shows a few of the clothes that we have borrowed and the kind of poses we expect you lot to 'pull'. Obviously as you're all a creative bunch ideas for poses are welcome. We're doing something post production over the image (CHECK BRIGHTER SHOW BLOG) to make sure our image isn't a direct copy of our inspiration image, so fear not...

BOYS! BRING TRACKSUIT BOTTOM - WHITE, GREY, COLOURED... or anything else bright coloured and bold - apart from blue and black and grey jeans. Bring T shirt, vests, hoodies and accessories etc too.

GIRLS! BRING LEGGINGS - OF ALL COLOURS, BRIGHT, PLAIN TOPS AND SKIRTS/SHORTS/ ETC. Also bring jewellery if you want it - but no necklaces as they get in the way. Think about how you want your hair to look if it's long. If you don't want it to fly about, tie it up etc. Also... if you wear make-up, be prepared to have to wear more than you normally do. I had to wear full on make up today - and it made me look like a drag queen, but you can hardly see it in the images. So - make-up - bright colours - lipstick, blusher and eyeshadow - annd lots of eyeliner... only if you want make-up obviously....

Obviously, judging from these pics you can use your own discretion as to what you think will be suitable (which we will then help to fit in with the concept and style of the shoot.

Binding

Does anyone know of a place that will wire bind at A5 landscape (the shortest side)? Plenty of print places will do it, unfortunately they all seem to be set up for A4, so when they do it it's off centre. If anyone knows of a place that does it, could you let me know? Cheers!

Hasina- Photoshoot Video process

26/04/07
Took 3 trains to East London (Cyprus to be exact). Got to the studio at 9:30am, finished at 7:00pm. Total number of 764 pictures. I don't know which ones to pick!!!!! The day was long!!! Got home at 9:00pm

The day was like a mini road trip, i was really excited, i forgot to eat, became really light headed and stuffed my face with chocolate, crisps and coke. Big no no.

Yeah i did it, i flirted!!! It got the job done THOUGH!! He became more relaxed & started taking better pics.

I'm not a poser, is a poser and he was loving it!!! Although he was trying to do it on the sly, but i picked up on it, i had his cards marked.

Just wondered if anyone thought it could be a good idea to have our portrait taken in a club to fit with the Brighter theme? Just thought it could be a fun idea! Seems to reflect the neon lighting of the show!

Please bear in mind the theme for this years journal and show - check out the SHOW BLOG for inspiration, we can't jus do any random shoot - If everyones hooked on the school portrait , How about a fluorescent School portrait ?
Whatever shoot we do, a selection of clothing will be provided for you to choose from, you may personalise it with 'accessories' as long as it is passed through the stylist first. These details will be arranged later.

We found this image and it inspired us for the centrefold group photoshoot in the Brighter Journal. Concept something along the lines of our designer alter-egos...only requirement would be to wear bright neon colours to reflect the shows theme this year. We needs everyone's thoughts or other suggestions ASAP once again, shoot to be scheduled within next few weeks and full co-operation from everyone will be needed!

Joanna's FMP Update

My FMP has expanded to include a live brief which I'll be working on alongside my vending machine. The client is Artforum, a UK based gift and home accessories company who commissioned me to design a set of 6 japanese street fashion dolls. These are a continuation of their existing range of 'Momiji Dolls' which are available in retailers including Paperchase and John Lewis.

I'm currently coming up with ideas for packaging and peripherals (stickers, tags, illustrations). The client is very excited to have this project as part of the Chelsea Show. Ana, please let me know if it's possible to include this as a piece in the 'freelance' section of the Brighter Journal. There's a chance their PR agency may contact you.

On the subject of my vending machine, I'm going with recognisable human characters (the two shown above, and currently working on a 'Chavtastic' series). I'd be really grateful for any suggestions people might have about what other characters they'd like to see in the machine. These could be famous people, stereotypes, historical etc (better still would be a 'collective' title which groups a particular series together). Ideas?

I have tried to improve my design, I have the bum a bit more juicy thanks to mary!! I have also designed anothe one which isnt so raunchy i do have a lot more to do so watch this space.
Tommorrow I shall be modelling my designers dresses really nervous! will put up more images of swing tags business cards and packaging by beginning of next week, I will also put up pics of the shoot and let you know how it went! have a good evening guys and dolls!

These are photographs I took when I went to the Rock Festival, which is held every year in summer. It is called ‘Nashestvie’ (‘Invasion’) and is located near Moscow in a countryside on a large field.
