Hey guys, I have been thinking about what to have at our final show for my project and would like to know your thoughts. Ideas:
- having my billboard printed twice and having one of them there. (10ft high by 20ft wide)
- Some sort of autobiography however I do not want to write a book as that would take me too long. Maybe it could just be with images and a bit of text???
-my personal blog is definately the best way of showing my journey so could I simply have that? (would rather have more)
-goodie bags promoting myself i.e mugs, keyrings etc
-magazine spreads printed large scale demonstrating each method I undertook to become famous
-any other ideas??
Please put down a comment if you think any of these are worth persuing or if you have another idea as I would really appreciate an insight to your genius ideas!

Love the billboard idea and the various magazine spreads; how about a magazine devoted entirely to you, just called 'Chelle'? Could have all the methods you used in your quest for fame, plus some features on your good self; you've done loads so it would be a bumper edition!I you've got to have that huge billboard with it though, would be fantastic. Thinking of the goodie bag thing myself, (a mock campaign) go over to my blog and have a butchers...
To be honest I doubt that one student would be able to have that amount of space as there are tons of other things happening in the space and 10ft by 20ft is pretty big. We are working on how to set up the space because at the moment there are tons of things to go in and we're not sure where to put everything, so I have a feeling a billboard that size wouldn't work..
Chelle could still feature on one of those lit up pods though couldn't she? Maybe a copy of the billboard poster, all lit up it would look ace.
yeah each student is getting half of a pod i believe so it's up to them what they want to put on it.
it would be really cool to name a perfume after you, like most celebrities do, but it is probably impossible.
So maybe range of products named after 'Chelle'.

That's a really good idea Karina, i know you can make your own perfume up in the body shop; she could do that then decant it into something more exotic maybe...?
What would be the point in that though? That is purely copying what is already been done. I think Michelle should look at Jeff's project last year 'Chav Love' and see how he kind of put together a sort of 'how to' kit but in a clever way. No one would care if 'Chelle made a perfume - but if it had another witty, original reason/concept behind it it would work and look good. It's tricky. I also like the idea of somehow displaying your blog/autobiography. Perhaps it could be like a video diary 'mockumentry' thing - bringing together Michelle's video skills too. Like a 'how to get to be a size zero in 3 weeks' thing but a 'how to get famous'.?? Anna
Blimey thanks guys for your comments! All great, I agree with Anna though about the perfume idea. No one would want it and so might seem a bit pointless. The billboard idea was to go on one of the walls and lit up, is that not possible? What about if made a bit smaller? I will look at more ideas, thanks x
I think this part is really important as it's how you make it a graphic design project as opposed to just a sociological experiment. Your display of all your work should be the most important graphic element of the project, so i agree with the perfume comment too. Although the idea of attaching your name to something useless might be good as it shows how vaccuous the public are in regards to celebrity, i.e. people would buy cheese if it had jordan on the front (double baby bel packs perhaps?)
Hi...good that you are considering show presence and presentation...its way too soon however. Best is to carry on with the enegry and intuition you are demonstrating so far and then we will dedide on a suitable show billing,(in the mid-way assesement, on the week ofthe new term). I should also remind you that your portfolio will also be key and must contain the final project for assessment andalso be ready for subsequent interviews etc.
